Paul Beck

Paul brings to ARES a diverse background in development, site selection and acquisition, lease and contract negotiation, market analysis, and real estate portfolio management and property disposition.

Paul first began working in the real estate business as an acquisitions manager for a residential apartment builder helping from the “ground up”, from site selection and negotiation to zoning and use approvals.  He later moved into the retail real estate industry by working with Daybridge Learning Centers as the Director of Real Estate where he was an integral part of the expansion of their freestanding day care centers.  Paul also held a number of positions with the restaurant division of PepsiCo (now Yum Brands) including Director of Real Estate for Taco Bell and Vice President of Real Estate for California Pizza Kitchen. Subsequently, while working with Hoyts Cinemas and Sony Loews Theatres, he was in senior real estate positions where his duties included new site development, portfolio management, lease renewals and restructures, and asset disposition.

Subsequently Paul spent eleven years doing single tenant retail development and construction throughout New England, including 65 free standing CVS pharmacies, 15 Family Dollar stores, as well as banks and other retail tenants.

Paul holds a BA from St. Joseph’s University and an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
