Randy Miller

Randy is an attorney who grew to lead one of the United States’ most iconic restaurant chains, Boston Market. 

Randy began his career as a corporate attorney at DLA Piper (f/k/a Rudnick & Wolfe) in Chicago, IL, representing some of the world’s largest franchise companies as a member of the firm’s franchise team (e.g., Domino’s Pizza, McDonald’s Corporation, RE/MAX International). 

He joined Boston Chicken to facilitate growth of the restaurant brand through the establishment of large, franchised area developers across the U.S. and leading a strategic initiative to acquire individual franchise locations and consolidate operations among the franchised area developers. 

Randy became general counsel of Boston Market upon its acquisition by McDonald’s Corporation following his work through a successful Chapter 11 reorganization proceeding. He became chief administrative officer following a subsequent acquisition of the brand by Sun Capital Partners in recognition of the breadth of his responsibilities for the organization. He gained vast experience leading five distinct lease restructuring initiatives, as well as all new restaurant development, including real estate acquisition and management, and new restaurant design and construction. 

Following acquisition of Boston Market by Engage Brands, LLC, Randy was promoted to President of Boston Market and led the company through the COVID-19 pandemic and related financial distress. 

Randy graduated from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis with a Juris Doctorate degree. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Illinois Wesleyan University.
